How to Clean Your Old Candles
With just a few simple steps, you can transform those dusty old glass jars into something beautiful and practical.
First, remove the labels from the jars. A little elbow grease and some Goo Gone will do the trick. If you’re feeling lazy, you can just soak the jars in hot water until the labels slip right off.
To clean out stubborn wax from old candle jars, remove the candle wax from the inside of the jar. You can do this by placing the jar in a freezer for a few hours and then tapping leftover wax out onto a paper towel.
If there is any residual wax, the easiest way is to use a hairdryer to melt it and wipe it away melted wax with a paper towel.
Once the inside of the jar is clean, wash it with soap and warm water. Be sure to dry the jar completely
