How to Make Easy DIY Shower Steamers
Supplies:
- ½ cup baking soda
- ½ cup epsom salts
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp dried eucalyptus leaves
- 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 15 drops peppermint oil
- Small silicone mold or you can use mini muffin tins
Directions:
Add the dry ingredients to a large bowl, then add the water and eucalyptus leaves, and stir.
Add the essential oils to the bowl, and stir well.
Using the back of a spoon, press mixture to the mold cavities, then press down with the spoon to pack it down real good.
Let set in a dry place for 24-48 hours.
Unmold the eucalyptus shower bombs and store in an airtight container.

How to Use Shower Steamers
To use, let the water run becoming hot and steamy. Place your steamer at the corner on the floor of the shower, out of the direct steam of the shower. When the hot water hits the steamer the essential oil vapors will release, the best part.

Where do you find eucalyptus leaves
I’ve gotten them at Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s & Whole Foods
The silicone mold should hold 2 teaspoons of mixture to get the 12 steamers as suggested. After filling my molds evenly the product foamed up and overflowed onto the edges. I wasn’t sure if it would shrink back down as it dried or not. It did not, and in hindsight, I would trim away The overflowed portions so the end product looks nice. Also, definitely wait the full amount of time or a day longer because the steamers get ruined as they are removed if not completely rockhard.
